The Mental Heatlh & Addiction Association (MHAAO) would like to assure everyone that we are taking every precaution to make Peerpocalypse a memorable and healthy event by committing to the following:

  • The Seaside Civic & Convention Center will sanitize common areas more frequently and provide hand sanitizing stations in common areas of the conference center of the conference center.
  • MHAAO staff will assist these efforts by sanitizing tables between workshops and will provide additional hand sanitizer in each of the workshop rooms.

We ask conference attendees to help with the following:

  • Please wash and sanitize your hands regularly.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue, sleeve, or elbow (not hands) when you cough or sneeze, and then wash your hands.
  • If you or someone in your household is sick, stay home and follow the guidance of your healthcare provider. MHAAO will reimburse your registration if you cannot attend the conference due to illness.

Updated March 6, 2020

The Seaside Civic and Convention Center (SCCC) is closely monitoring information shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Clatsop County Health Department about COVID-19. The most recent information provided by the CDC suggests the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low. However, the SCCC team has increased precautionary measures to help keep our guests and staff healthy.

Precautionary measures include enhancing onsite communications and signage in restrooms regarding preventative actions such as washing hands, placing hand sanitizer stations near public spaces, and increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched objects. The team is also providing ongoing training for staff around the best practices to provide a safe and healthy environment.

The Seaside Civic and Convention Center will communicate with event organizers, partners and other key contacts to relay updates.
